It sounds like Braxton Hicks, I had them alot with all three of mine. But at the same time it sounds like real labor too! It's hard to say but if they have gone on 12 hours and not gotten any closer together or painful at all I would say that you just need to get off your feet. Either way it couldn't hurt to go to the hosital and let them check your dialation and put you on the monitor for a while. If nothing else it will ease your mind.

If the contractions are not painful then they probably are braxton hicks. If the contractions seem to slow down or cease with a change in activity then they definitely are braxton hicks. The only way to really know sometimes is to go in and have an internal exam where they can look at your cervix and see if any changes are occurring.

It is most likely Braxton hicks, but good job on timing them. I would worry too much until they are 5 minutes apart or your water breaks or you start to feel really bad pain. Congratulations on the baby.

Call your doctor. They may hook you up to a monitor just to check.
I never had braxton hicks. So, I don't know the difference.
Real labor feels like menstrual cramps or lower back pain.

It could be false labor....
If they are less frequent and intense when you get up and move around, it is most likely false labor. Watch for a backache and nausea, that means that it might be real. And if they start to ache at all then call your doctor. If it is your first child, then labor can be very slow to start.
Good luck!

If the pressure you are feeling during the contraction makes you feel like you want to push, you could be ready to go now! I'd call your doctor tonight to get a professional opinion though, to ease your thoughts and help you sleep.
Good luck soon to be mommy!
