As long as you don't use anything too harsh to the environment, probably nothing. A couple of stores like Target have enviromentally-friendly cleaning products to clean everything from bathtubs to cars. Just plain dishwashing soap and hot water is safe for both car and grass.

I know from experience that some of the grass will die and you will need to re-seed that part of the lawn. If it is possible to wash your car somewhere else away from the lawn I would suggest it. If you want to wash your car on the grass you can but use a very mild soap. Hope that answered your question. Good luck.

Well, if you are concerned, as many are about the environment you could possibly contaminate your soil. I don not do this because I work so had to keep my yard looking its best and if I were to wash it in the yard, when I moved it(even if the yard were dry) I would have "ruts" in the grass and soil. You need to keep your lawn and soil as "untouched" as possible. If you start to get low spots, you will have an unsightly lawn. The brown spots start to appear because the water runs towards the ruts and not to the entire area being watered. Hey, but it is your lawn, your car, this is still AMERICA, do what you want and dont worry about everyone else.

You will water your lawn as you wash your car, as long as you don't use some harsh chemical that can harm your grass. Dish soap can be a little hard on paint, suggest a car wash soap designed to protect paint.

I think it depends on what kind of grass you have. We have St Augustine(which is the most durable-my favorite) grass. And I always wash my truck on the lawn. I have never had brown or chemical burned spots on it. I use dish soap for the vehicle wash. If you have fescue type grass(like Marathon), maybe burns might show up depending on what kind of soap you use.

Good luck :-)

Would water your grass, and rut up your lawn with your car tires when you drive off of the wet yard. Otherwise, no effect.

If you use very mild soap..think green... your lawn should do fine but it will not like being driven on afterwards when wet. And your neighbors may send you a Jeff Foxworthy video.

The chemicals might kill the grass and when you drive off you could get grass clippings(if mowed not long ago) everywhere.
