You should have asked when you had the ultrasound. I asked when I had mine, she said "I have been doing this for 18 years and I have never been wrong." She wasn't! She said girl and she was a girl! I know it happens, not sure how often.
Either way, congratulations!

I was told that I was having a girl and voila it pops out and the doctor says its a boy. I had so much stuff and it was basically all pink so my family ended up taking all of it back and trading it in for blue. Good thing I didnt remove any of the tags! Ultrasounds are great but they are not 100%. Typically they are accurate in predicting the sex of the baby but there can be mistakes. I was told that the best chance of getting the sex right would be between 18 and 22 weeks pregnancy and the odds of saying its a girl when its actually a boy is higher that the other way around. Good luck, congrats and keep those receipts and tags!!!!

The baby could be a boy or a girl. Sonograms are not 100% accurate. I had a friend that was all ready for a girl. Then surprise! There he was. The tech must have missed that third "arm" when she was trying to tell boy or girl. That is why we did not try to find out.........good luck!

It does happen that the sonograms can be inaccurate. But you should be happy with a healthy baby. Some people aren't so lucky and have to deal with the pains of birth defects. O - not to meantion there are millions of couples worldwide who have fertility issues and can't even get pregnant.
Best of luck with your baby girl!

It happens! My doctor told me that my first child was a girl (it was a 8lb 4oz boy). In fact she was so sure it was a girl she and the nurses in the delivery room were making bets. Then I became pregnant with my daughter who my doc declared for a fact it was a boy! (different doc). You might want to have a "generic" outfit to bring him or her home from the hospital in! Congrats

How sure was the ultrasound technician? Mine were all correct but they can be wrong. Especially if there was not a clear shot. My girls were not at all bashful if you know what I mean LOL! Best wishes with your new baby!

Ultra sounds are pretty accurate. It is very rare that they get the sex mixed up. Congrats.

If your child turns out to be a boy, then I will feel very sorry for him, you know, being confused with a girl....
