For example:
I use Jibbs' instrumentals of "King Kong", but with different words (ones i wrote) and its me rapping it.

Is that illegal, can I contact someone to ask permision?

Yeah, it's illegal, and it'll piss the other artist off bigtime. E-mail someone at his studio, see if you can get it through to him, asking for permission to use it. And also, if he does say no, respect that. Artists work hard to produce quality work, and to have it just ripped off is very, very depressing and hard on them. Also, when/if you get permission and you record and sell it, give him credit for it, because he's the one that came up with the instrumentals. Good luck!

Anything that has been recored written or printed by another person is not allowed!! be carefull if ur planning it!!!! cover all angles!

you need to ask permission from the ppl that wrote the music!!! try the king kong website!???

yes, contact the label. Especially if you are using it to make money or go public with, I assume it's not just for shower singing. Just cover your back with the proper legalities. Contact King Kong, I mean the label that produced the song.

It is illegal without permission. Bands/artists can buy and sell intellectual rights to songs.

well i know a few people who have used beats from a song but with accediting details. like it say that this beat was blahblahblah. but if you dont do that then get permission. doubt you get the answer you want though.

Yes... you can get sued... that is copyright infringement...you need permission to use samples... if you sell a million copies, the originator of that sample will be entitled to royalties

Contact the publishing company. The composer has copyright. If you use it with no permission, get ready to be raped by ASCAP
