The opposite of a person who is full of foreboding is sometimes called a "Pollyanna", someone who is always optimistic, even in the face of difficulties.
There is also a play by Voltaire, Candide, where the main character always sees the world through rose-colored glasses (another opposite for you). He is convinced that this is the best of all possible worlds, and says things like "...private misfortunes make the public good, so that the more private misfortunes there are, the more everything is well."
Then, of course, there is the conviction that we are winning in Iraq, which is an inner conviction of good fortune no matter what actually happens... :-)
