During season 5 Jack signed a 3 year extension. He always hints that 24 can go on without Jack Bauer but I find that hard to believe.

well i think they will keep making new seasons until the ratings drop and they cancel the show because of that. If it can be this sucessful, they have no reason to cancel it! So, they obviously don't plan on canceling people don't watch it anymore.
