Verizon coverage insurance?

can't get any strait answers, on lost or stolden phone.

lockline is also not available on every phone.. if the phone is a pda device and some that are mp3 phones they will not cover them. if you are in contract most companied will not let you just extend your contract to get the better price on the phone and if you do have to replace with out insurence most phones will range from $150 - $500. If you have a bare basic phone or are not in a contract I wouldnt have the insurence though. As far as lockilne with a phone that is already lost or stolen you will have to do a police report and get them a copy before they will send the new phone and at their discression they may send you a refurbished phone and/or a different COMPRABLE model

I bought the insurance for my nephew's phone last year. It cost $6.00 a month. It's from Lockline through Verizon. They replace your phone but you have to pay the $50.00 deductible. They will replace it if it is damaged, lost or stolen phone. You may have to file a police report if it is stolen. I had no problems replacing the cell phone that he broke when he dropped in on the street and a car ran over it. I paid the $50 and received the same phone, brand new. However I noticed that ebay was selling these phones for $30, so I discontinued the insurance. Then he broke another one and I took it down to Verizon and said I didn't have any insurance. They said to replace it would cost $50. He needed it right away so I paid the $50. So what is the point of insurance if I have to pay the $50 anyway?? something weird going on here.

well.. i am just gonna try and guess what you are trying to type.. umm.. we do cover lost or stolen phones.. if your phone is stolen we are gonna need a police report... umm.. oh and verizon doesnt handle insurance issues.. we do our insurance through third party companys like asurion and lock line... but they handle lost and stolen phones...
