They were in country music which is a traditionally conservative, republican, family values culture. They made a public political statement that went against the majority of their core audience, so they were ostracized.

They still sing, but I don't think get a lot of support on country radio. I don't listen to much country radio anymore, so I don't know if they are now or not. I saw on cmt that they were nominated for a Grammy. I think they made the mistake of dissing the President in a foreign country on the brink of war and flip flopping when they visited other countries and cried when they came home. That's my opinion on it, though. Hope this helps.

The Chicks have been interior the united kingdom doing a stay overall performance and he or she rather got here down stressful on our President. additionally, she reported some undesirable issues approximately Toby Keith. one element approximately real u . s . followers.....you do not run down our u . s . or every physique who relatively believes in our troops and what they are doing for our freedom. I as quickly as enjoyed the Chicks, yet after their comments, I destroyed all of their CD's and every time they arrive on the radio, I activate some thing else. they are has beens in my e book and that i don't think of the real u . s . followers will ever ignore what they reported.

Well, they sucked to begin with. Their schtick was supposed to be that they were sort of hot, even though they were actually pretty ugly. But once they all had kids and a couple of years that illusion couldn't be maintained. They were just a country "spice girls" anyway. Eventually people would have tired of them anyway, they just accelerated it by being cowards and traitors.

They learned that people only are interested in them for their singing and they should keep their ideas about other things to themselves. And that what is given can be taken away just as quickly.

They are still alive and well. They have a good sound and good lyrics. Too bad some Cons cannot see past politics. Good music is good music!
