At about 7 months, they sent me to the ER saying that I was going into early labor. It was detected during an ultrasound as I had to have one every other week since I was high risk. I went to the hospital with just the clothes on my back since I'd gone to the Doctor's office straight from work. I did drive directly to the ER by myself, crying the whole way. I was so scared I would lose my son since he was such a miracle pregnancy anyway.

I ended up staying almost 3 days in the hospital as they ran all kinds of tests on me and monitired me as well. They wanted to check continuously for contractions. They did a swab test as well to see if they could tell that I would go into labor soon. When I got sent home, the put me on partial bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy.

Anyway, my son is now 19 months and as healthy and happy as could be. I ended up having to have a C-section but it was fine. It was a very scary time but so worth it.

hematuria (blood in urine). They could not tell where it was coming from so they kept me in overnight so they could run every test known to man. They had me in a birthing suite on a moniter for the evening, then in a regular maternity room overnight. It was not fun, but when I went in for labor (it was my first baby) I knew the drill with the moniter and how the room/tv/lights/etc worked. Looking back, I was glad to have had the "practice run" at being in the birthing suite.

I was hospitalized for a day with my first pregnancy due to dehydration, you don't realize how much fluids you have to take in when your pregnant. When you are dehydrated baby movements are slower and heartrate is lower, they pump you full of fluids and everyting is fine.

sometimes your water can break and the baby is still not ready to come. so they would keep you until you are ready to have your baby.
