I recently WAY OVER sprayed for bugs using a product I *thought* I was familiar with-basically, I didn't read the directions. Dumb, I know. Anyway, the good news is that there are absolutely NO BUGS! It's a nuclear winter for those lil critters! However, I am a little concerned about lingering residue, etc. Is the most effective way to address this just to wipe surfaces with mild soap and water solution? Or just water? How worried do I need to be about this? (I do not have pets or kids and no children live in this entire apartment complex.)

It really depends on which pesticide you used. If it's a water soluble one meant for use on vegetables after the required label time a hard spray of water should rinse it off. So if it says do not use within 2 weeks of harvest then 2 weeks after you used it you should be able to spray it off. I would wash it again inside just to be double sure you got it all. And for gosh sakes, read the instructions first next time.

If it's not water soluble, all bets are off. Don't eat whatever you sprayed.

Too late this time. Next time be more aware. Stuff usually dissipates after four days on surfaces and plants. I don't know how long in the body. It takes a lot over a great period of time to harm you.

Lucky you, you do not have any kids or pets in the house. Its really nothing you can do know. Mild soap and water will rid the residue thou.
