if you have the money the k-40 is the best on the market.the module is hidden. it uses 2 small l.e.ds for warning you. this is not just a detector but a jammer that covers front, back, side and even above for the planes.if you ever get a ticket they will pay for an attorney.if you lose they pay your fine.they cost between 800.00 and 2,000.00 depending on options.that's cheaper than a felony speeding ticket any day.

this is the LOGICAL response to your question-The Phazer II is under investigation BUT since it does not work they are trying to prolong it because it is GREAT FREE ADVERTISEMENT to have the very people you are trying to beat shut you down-Here is the logic part,If ANY prefabricated (NOT plans but a plug and play GIZMO) Jammers were available the FAA and the DoD would be on them like WHITE on RICE as thousands of LIVES and MILLIONS of dollars would be at risk when operating near an AIRPORT or an AFB -If BILLY BOB was driving along and the radar on a 747 was affected by his "TOY" what do you THINK would happen-heck you can't even use a cell phone on a plane for fear of affecting something -that is logic vs.hype

I haven't had the Phazer detector, but I've had 4 different types. I've returned them all, they will beep even if there are no police around. The best one I've had that kind of worked was the cheapest one at Radio Shack, that one saved my @ss many times. Its only good on the open highway where they have speed traps. You get punked all the time though, many false alarms. Good luck!

The company that makes those is under investigation for selling illegal radar jammers and telling the consumers that they are legal. No radar jammers are legal. The police would know if they are being jammed, so whats the point?

Almost all radar detectors are illegal and a waste of money, cause must of them don't work properly, meaning you get caught by speeding when you should be watching your speed.
