Well a dvd that has been converted into .avi (Divx) is around 700Mb-1Gb . So about 4-5 full length movies.

The average size of a mp3 is 4-5Mb. At 5Mb that means 200 songs in 1Gb or 800 songs for 4Gb

i have a 4gb sandisk sansa and it says it holds about 1000 songs in mp3 files. it should hold around 2000 in wma files. however not all mp3 players can take wma files ( i dont think that ipods do) That number is only based on a four minute song though, and not all songs are four minutes long. Some are longer and some are less, but you should be able to get a little more than 1000 songs. SOme mp3 player software allows you to choose the quality of the song, the lesser the quality, the less amount of space the song takes up. So, if you dont mind lowering the sound quality of the player, you could get alot more songs on there

It varies depending on how large the files are and the quality of the files. Considering the average file size is 5MB, it can store approximately 800 songs.

Divx movies are approximately 700MB, so about 5 movies.
