I sounds like a good honest job. Do you live in an area where there are stables? Transportation is an issue when it comes to employment as employers want their employees to show up on time. You would have to be prepared to muck out stalls. It will be heavy work and repetitive. If you like horses this should not be a problem. Do not get behind on your school work. That should come first. No job should get in the way of your education at your age, it is not worth it.

That is not a silly question! Stables hire boys your age all the time but the work will not be easy. They will probably hire u to clean stalls also feed and water the horses. Some will let you exercise the horses if you are a good rider. If you can not find nothing in the paper, look in the phone book under horse and/or stables and just go down the list calling and ask if they are hiring. The worst they can say is no. Some may even hire you before you turn 16.

Oh I've always wanted to do that! I love horses, and I don't mind getting dirty mucking out stalls. And if I get to ride, all the better! I don't really know what your question is though, I can't tell you were to apply. Just go up to a stable and tell them you're willing to work, though a lot are family run and it's hard to find a job in them.

I tried a few, but they were all set. If not, and you're interested in working for animals, try a pet shelter or somewhere.

Do you have any experiance? That helps big time. Most people I know don't trust a rawbeginner around their horses. Stables are a tough job. Unless you don't mind getting Dirty, and alot of work in all weather, don't do it. If you don't like horses, don't do it.

That being said, I would go talk to any stables near me. If they don't have any job openings, they might know somone who does. If you get the word out tha your looking for ajob, people will come to you when they realise they suddenly have too many horses or loose a stable hand

well u need to start somewhere, even if its at the bottom. depends on where u live? experience? find a race track or vet or some kind of stable or trainer. start muckin stalls and learning how to care for them is the first step in the horse world. even if u dont have experience, if ur willing to work hard and learn, there are many places that will hire u... happy hunting and good luck

Woah! In many ancient cultures, Horsemenship and even being able to take good care of a horse is a highly prized thing! The ancient Celtic people are lovers of horses, the Mongolian kids are trained to tame horses and ride on them from age 3, Manchurians are also riders on horseback, and many more. Try going on Yahoo to google for any farms that hire internship to look after horses---probabely in the summer. You'll learn many wonderful and valuable things, you'll be lucky if you could get one. Horses are such graceful animals of power and beauty. Go ahead and be proud, there is absolutely no shame. Remember, even if you did not get to learn to ride a horse, this job wil bring you closer to nature and closer to the many nameless people of past civilizations who built their entire cultural history and folk music with horses.

When u work with horses, first blow in their nose so they will know u, no joke, don't be afraid of horses, they can sense it., I have 2 mares and if u act just a little afraid,, the palimino will kick u. Be stern but gentle, keep u'r eyes open at all times, horses like to play, when they kick up sometimes they may hit u and don't mean it. If they ever kick u it can hurt and sometimes be fateual. Enjoy, I luv my 2 girls.

Tough job and not much money. If there is a racetrack nearby you may consider an apprenticeship as a groom.
