The weather is very unpredictable in that area. If you are planning on being outside, you should be prepared for any possibility. It snowed heavily in March last year and a lot of people were caught by surprise. (see newspaper article link below). I went to the Pala Casino, but since I was inside the whole time, it didn't matter.
Since up to the minute weather reports are readily available online, I would suggest you check the weather link I have provided.

I've been living in San Marcos for a year and a half and I never knew that Palomar mountain even had snow.
