Forgive me, but I think you are mistaken. Sir Laurence Oliver died when he was quite an old man, it was over 25years ago as far as I can remember. I think he died from cancer.
You may be thinking of `Lawrence of Arabia` D.H.Lawrence he died as the result of a motor cycle accident in Devon, many many years ago. I think he was riding a light-weight B.S.A.

He didn't.He died at a fairly ripe old age. Of what, I don't remember but his motorcycling days were well and truly finished if indeed he had ever ridden one.Are you perhaps getting him muddled up with D.H.Lawrence?
