Call your OB they'll probably tell you you can take tylenol or maybe benadryl.

You can try gargling with warm salt water for your throat. Buy some vicks vapor rub for you nose and chest-have someone rub your chest and back before you go to bed. You can also place a little on your upper lip right below your nostrils to help you breathe at night. Call your doctor to see if a pain reliever is recommended. Take your vitamins, get as much rest as you can. Pregnancy will take your body through many changes-remember to always protect the health of your unborn child.

Being 9 weeks preggers I would check with your OB just to be sure, however mine gave me a list of approved meds. and Tylenol cold and sinus is on the list of approved.

I myself have a horrible cold right now (I am 34 wks preg.) and have had to take some meds just so I could have at least an hour of decent sleep. Just don't go overboard, only take as directed.

You and your baby should be just fine.

Oh boy, I feel bad for you. If it's the same cold I had, it lasts for 3 weeks! Several people had told me this when I first got mine and as much as I wanted to prove them wrong it was true! I suggest you call your doctor or talk to the pharmacist to see what is safe fr you to take. Ask if Zycam or Airborne is safe for you to take, it will lessen the duration of your cold. I wish I had taken it.

Talk to the person who will be your midwife or OB, they should have a list of "acceptalbe medications" that might have something that can help. Otherwise, make sure to take A LOT of vitamin C, stay hydrated, and take your prenatals as you get through.

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection . Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience.
