I am a 29 year old woman and virgin. I have had a problem with excess vaginal discharge since I was 17. I don't really feel it but I am always soaking wet. I have to wear a pad all day and all night to protect my underwear and pants from getting wet. I have been to many doctors about this problem. My last gyno visit my doctor discovered that I had excess tissue on the opening of my cervix. He burnt it off but the tissue grew back and the problem continued. I usually go through three to four pads a day and usually (especially in the summer) have a rash (like a diaper rash). Anyone with any ideas, comments or with the same problem please answer me! It would be great help! Thank you!

Jocelyn,
I would immediately schedule another appointment with the GYN and insist that a solution be found. There could be leakage from the bladder causing the moisture, or a hormonal problem. Regardless, having sex now, would not be an option, there is a reason you have chosen to stay pure and I for one respect it immensely! Be very blunt and honest with your GYN and he should be able to discover the reason, if not, go to a different doctor. Good luck!!

Well your rash pretty much IS a diaper rash, so treat it just like you would treat a baby's. But I'm sorry, I really don't have any more advice for you. Though I do think being a virgin might have something to do with it. Perhaps your body (because it has been sexually mature for some time) is expecting sex and is responding to not having sex in this way. But that's just a theory, I'm CERTAINLY no doctor. I hope others can be more helpful to you, good luck :)

I would have to agree that for the rash, to indeed use a diaper rash type of ointment, I would HIGHLY recommend using Boudreaux Butt Paste. Being pregnant right now, I am also having a bit of discharge, and same type of rash, this ointment takes care of it ASAP! Most drug stores carry it.

As far as the discharge problem, I would suggest getting an appt with a second gyno for another opinion.

Have you done research over the internet? There are websites where you can get free medical advice or you could even ask your OBGYN if s/he has a specialist in mind who you could talk to. In this day in age, I'm sure there is something that can be done. I have not heard anything like this before and I'm so sorry you've been having to go through this for so long. Good luck, I hope things work out for you.

I do not have the same problem, but offer a suggestion for the rash situation. Apply a thin layer of vaseline to the area and that should keep the rash away.

I know how that goes, and yeah it sucks. I don't have excess sweat, but I am sure every other women out there has the same problem, just not at the same extent. Maybe you should try having the tissue burnt off again, it just means that you have extra things to get rid of (i.e unwanted body hair, etc). If that isn't a likely situation for you...then there has to be other remedies for it, try seeing a different doctor.

not some time past, society did not take family members violence heavily in any respect. Now we do. regrettably, maximum human beings do not understand how ordinary and how destructive is violence by women against adult men. that's much less publicized. And the certainty that on the full adult men are better and greater suitable leads many human beings to end that ladies won't be able to do the forms of harm to adult men that adult men can do to women. (not real, yet often believed.) that's unfair, and that i applaud every physique who tries to convey this component to the priority to every physique's interest. i could prefer to show out, although, that ladies are plenty greater possibly than adult men to be killed by their companions. i'm not announcing that makes w-m violence ok, merely that that's component to the full equation.

You could ask your doctor to put you on a different birth control, one with less estrogen. Wear cotton undies and use desitin for your rash.

Three to four pads a day? A rash like a diaper rash? You must IMMEDIATELY visit your gynecologist again, or go to another gynecologist, and another, and another until these symptoms are properly diagnosed and treated. These could be symptoms of a sexually transmitted disease, cervical or uterine cancer, a noncancerous or cancerous cyst or tumor, or other underlying disease.
