Yes. I emailed them and told them how I didn't appreciate it, but he copied my email and sent it back to me.

Exactly, no. Practically identical, yes. During the time I was typing an answer to a complex question, and after I hit the send button to mine, I noted some other answers were strikingly similar. They say great minds think alike, however, if it is verbatim you may be the victim of an abuser i.e. Impersonation or Cloning. If it was a one time occurrence, don't worry about it, if it happens 2 or 3 times more it's a pattern of abuse and should be reported to Yahoo! Answers for investigation.

I couldn't really say for sure. I mean sometimes I'll be in the middle of answering a question and have to step away from computer for a while. Then I return finish what I was going to say and don't always look at the rest of the answers people have put down. ;o)

report them for abuse. in the publishing world it is called plagerism. they are abusing this system, unless they have quoted you as the source.!!!! you can prove it with time stamps.
this from the yahoo answers terms of use page which says in a roundabout way 'no copying' - it is your written words from you and your experience they are stealing:
NO POINT-GAMING: You may not post content for the explicit purpose of gaining points, trading points, or soliciting others for points or otherwise "game" the Yahoo! Answers points system.
NO FRAUD: You may not falsely claim credentials or expertise that you do not possess, or impersonate another user.
RESPECT COPYRIGHT LAW: You may not post content that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties.

Not so far. I don't think so, but I don't always check back on all of my answers. Just look at when it was posted it shows who posted first, then again some minds think alike.

Yes, or so it appeared. They changed it slightly, a word or two, but it was a rather long answer, so it seemed unlikely that they would have worded theirs so precisely as I did mine.

I don't really know--I don't read other answers myself--I read the question-answer it and that's it.
