You cannot remove bubbles out of a carpet with synthetic backing by stretching it with a power stretcher. Some luck is achieved with the hemp back carpet, but there isnt much if any of that around anymore. You most probably have synthetic backing.
You need to Properly identify the bubble's location. A couple of nails inserted in the area where the bubble is identifies the location. Then you pull the carpet off of its tack strips at the nearest corner until you have exposed the bubble area. It will be visible, It will show as a backside wrinkle in the backer material. Then you take a ruler and draw a line across the area where the carpet has creased. Now, you need to cut that right on the line and remove about 1/8 of an inch of carpet right along that ruler line with a utility knife. Then you use a Hot carpet seal tape and iron it on there with a regular clothes iron works fine. The bubble will be gone forever and if properly done, it will not be visible, the repair that is. Buy the tape at Lowes or Depot

I would have it professionally strectched. I would not purchase a knee stretcher unless you know exactly what you are doing. Too much room for mistake..
Generally speaking carpeting that needs stretching is carpeting that needs to be replaced. But try stretching first, see if this will buy you some time before you have to replace it.
Good Luck

my boyfriend who was a carpet installer for 17 years says to take the furniture out, get a carpet kicker or power stretcher which you can get at home depot or a carpet store, and restretch the carpet. he advises that if you dont know what you are doing you may want to have a professional do it because you can hurt yourself or ruin your carpet if you dont do it right

Do nothing . In a few days it should go down as it dries . If it was made really wet you may need to get a carpet fitter back in to re-fit . Good luck

If the jute has been streched, than its shot. Chances are the carpet will just lay itself flat eventually. Nothing escapes the force of gravity. Just patiently wait and see

you need to get it re-stretched. Call a local flooring store & they can send some one to do it.
Or it's kind-of new & see if the person who installed it guarente their work & for how long they might restretch it for free.

I think the only thing that will help is to have it stretched by a professional.
