Hi,
I have a 80gb hard drive, however I want to upgrade to a 250gb hard drive. I want the operating system that is on the 80gb on the 250gb one. So I can sell the 80gb, and carry on where I left off with the old 80gb hard drive. If it involves putting both hard drives into the computer, I will do it, but just need some guidance, Thanks very much in advance folks :)

You have to use disk imaging software such as Symantec Ghost.

You need to have a copy of an imaging program such as Symantec Ghost. Use this to create a 'boot floppy disk'. You need to have both hard drives connected to the computer and then restart your computer using this disk. If you've created the disk using Ghost it should run the imaging program automatically. Choose your source and destination drive (DON'T get these mixed up!) and the copy will start.

Once the copy is complete you will be able to remove the original HDD and put the new one back in it's place.

Done!
