I'm looking for some good headphones. Not earbuds, and not those that go behind your head. Just regular headphones.

I got some the other day and the sound is very muffled, it sounds like I'm underwater. What do you recommend?

Thanks to everyone for helping me in my quest for the best headphones. I can't pick a best answer because I haven't tried any of these out yet, but I plan to real soon. So I will just put this to a vote. Thanks again and have a great weekend.

if money is not an issue, Bose noise-cancelling headphones will cost about 350 dollars US.....comfortable, great sound, and even the ability to reduce things like airplane sounds by using a high pitched white noise they generate....

I have 8 different ones and some expensive new ones. The best are really old (Andrea Anti-Noise NC-65) with an integral microphone jack so I can scream along too. These things rock like a hurricane and are prolly 25 years old.

Go for Sony and u cant go wrong. Also be prepared to pay a bit extra for a decent pair, and make sure it is the actual headphones that are the problem.
Hope this helps. Happy listening!

Check out head-fi.org to find reviews and talk about headphones. The "best bang for your buck" is the Koss KSC-75's, they are only about $11.00 new from Amazon. I have them and they work great.

It depends what you are willing to spend. I have some $100 Bang & Olufsen headphones that sound truely amazing. I would recommened those if you're willing to spend that kind of money.

Grado headphones are the best in the world. Yes, they are expensive, but they will last. They also have AWESOME sound.

Koss KSC75's. You can pick them up at rat-shack for under $20.00 and they are highly recommended by head-fi.org Audiophiles.

Sony, avoid Phillips cause they are not durable at all, i've been through 3 Phillips and they all sucked.

I'd go for a Sony pair, they never disapointed me.
