Im on my router firmware update page. It asks me what file i want to update. I'm not sure what file to update, but it has a browse button next to it, do you know if it would be in the 'my computer' folder or what? please help. thank you.

You will need to go to the routers manufacture's website
and get the firmware from them. Typically it is a .bin file.
Once you download it, save it to your desktop. Then when you hit the browse button from inside the routers administration page, it will be easy to find on the desktop.

You'll have to download the update file from the manufacturer's website. For simplicity's sake, create a new folder on your C: drive called RouterFirmware and store it there. Then browse to that folder to grab the firmware file for the update.

Before you start, make note of your router's settings. Most firmware updates will restore the router to factory default settings.

i dont get this, you dont install drivers for a router you just need a wireless card, try re-installing your wireless card, if its a laptop with built-in wireless card then goto device manager > network adapters > uninstall wireless lan then restart your computer and let windows reload and refresh the drivers, you will see 'found new hardware' installing
