does anyone know if the house and senate both pased the bill to raise the national minimum wage?

The guys above are correct.

The Senate has reached an agreement between the two parties to pass tax relief to small businesses and President Bush has said the same, so it will be passing.

EDIT: The person below is wrong. Bush will not veto it. He said that he supported an increase coupled with tax relief for small businesses. The Senate has agreed to do that.

Yes passed the House, will pass the Senate, Bush will veto it.
makes no difference 29 States have higher than $5.15 that just means States that don't raise it will lose workers to States that pay fair. Republicans oppose this increase because it cuts the stock income they have. It also cuts the profit they make in small business which they make by exploiting the workers.
No deal to include the small bussiness tax cuts has been published but that could happen. It's still in the works at Senate in conference.
The bigger question is. What will Democrats get in return from Republicans to include the tax breaks? Who knows?

Regardless, The House bill still has to be reconciled with the Senate's.

it passed the house only, with 3/4 voted yes. so its almost impossible for bush to veto it if senate voted like the house
