Partition could bring whole lot of headache in future. They're going ahead with surge now. If it doesn't work we'll have to began to withdraw from Iraq. Unless they want to go for military draft and send like million soldiers there. No good options.

Really weird thing is that the president claims Iraq is our fight for freedom, our livelyhood, future security... etc but he isn't willing to call for draft. If it is that big of a war, fight, significance don't you think draft should be on the table? Instead of putting all that burden on voluntary force who are forced to work overtime over and over and over...

The president is asking relatively small number of Americans to essentially be superheroes, take all the burden and protect everybody else so the rest can go on Americal Idol and go to Texas ranch and whatever.

They forgotten what war is and now days it is just politics. The war shouldn't be fought like has been fought in Iraq. The war at Iraq was political gamble and not a real war. And that is just terrible thing anybody can put the country through.

Now that the US is in there, they need to stay the course until the situation is safer for Iraqi citizens to go about their daily lives. So I would say that sending more troops is the best out of some very bad choices. Of course, this whole mess could have been avoided if the US had listened to the rest of the world and stayed the hell out of Iraq in the first place.
