What are good ways to treat yeast infections? It's the first I've ever had and I'm not exactly crazy about going to a dr to be poked at (I'm only thirteen). I'm also not really wild about sticking suppositories and stuff like that up in there. What are my options?

If it's the first one, how can you be certain it is a yeast infection? It could be bacterial vaginosis and that requires a completely different treatment.
I understand your hesitant to be poked at -- geez, even after 3 babies I dread my annual gyn exam, but you need to know what you are dealing with in order to cure it. Self-treatment may make it worse instead of better.
Please see a doctor - only a professional can diagnose exactly what your condition is.

Ir its not too bad you can drink cranberry juice as much as you can sometimes when you catch it early enough you can drink that and that will get rid of it but too be safe your best option is to go to the dr. but cranberry juice is very good for that check the pharmacist to see they should have some type of cream you may be able to use but 9 times out of 10 you are going to have something put inside whether its the suppository or the dr. checking you to make sure in fact that's what it is. good luck

They make a pill that kills them in 24 hours. you are young so over the counter creams may work too. dont start with meds first cause then you will always need them. yeast infections are caused by a variety of things and not just tight clothes. hope this helps

to prevent them
-yogurt (best with active cultures) which i hate
-cranberry juice
-cotton undies, which i hate (i always get a cotton crotch)

I hope this helps

You will have to go to your OBGYN and yeast infections commonly happen because of tight clothing, yeast infections are not always because of sex, it can be treated with a pill form now so go get checked out or it won't go away.
