i want a skateboard and even if i pay for it and wear pads and helmets they wont let me get 1 and by the way i am 9 years old

your parents are tightly wound. you won't get hurt. i bet they make you play soccer. that's more dangerous than riding a board. get one yourself and keep it at a friend's house, then get REALLY good at it and show them. make them eat their words.

thats not really a question but i think i know what you are talking about... i got my first board when i was 8 but i had to prove to my parents i was responsible. second your parents probably wont let you get anything but a walmart board until you have a real interest in skateboarding. (walmartboard= mongoose, or anything that comes from a department stor or toys r us) so ya talk to your parents
