If they are not minors and he is cute,invite him once and have friend there but tell him that he has to be nice and respect them(if they want).
If that does not work then let him try by himself, he is an adult

first of all, why are YOU hanging around with someone who is 40? second, just tell him that the girls you hang out with are in the same age bracket as you are and are not interested in dating someone his age. Tell him to find friends in their 40's so he can go out with them to places that are appropriate for what he is looking for. If it's the young girls he wants explain that unless (a lot) of money is involved (sugar daddy) then he is out of luck.
