TV is run by accountants these days. They want to make TV as cheap as they can so they can make as much profit as possible.

The only way TV will ever get better is if more people stop watching the rubbish they put on and they are finally forced to make decent programmes.

This is unlikely to happen in the short term as people are still watching this rubbish just for the sake of something to watch.

because the tv people are running out of fresh and original ideas- however, due to their laziness and some would say arrogance, with the shows they put out, they assume its the type of stuff we'd all watch when that's obviously so untrue. i avoid watching tv. there's hardly anything good on these days. then again, tv in britain lost it ages ago and went down the pan. and no its not worth the licence fee. in fact, it is insane that people are being made to pay for the licence fee and for such rubbish to be televised, every year and the damn licence fee going up every year as well. people should not be made to pay to watch our own shows, but sadly, such a stupid thing as this exists in our backyard its disgraceful. i think the more people shunning tv for the likes of the internet to name, the more likely programme makers realise their mistakes and for them to address them. but i just cannot see tv getting any better- only worse

BBC make 300 billion pounds per year, yes 300 billion from licence payers. They keep all the old has-beens on the payroll like like Anne Robinson, Terry Wogan, Parkinson, Johnathon Ross and pay those people extortionate amounts of money.

Then they rely on the old classics and re-runs to fill up air time. Also they do not invest in good scriptwriters - Eastenders being a prime example. The Vicar of Dibley was good because Dawn French wrote it.

as opposed to?

I agree that the BBC have been cheating license payers by airing out all night news rather than entertainment like good films.

BBC2 have always had education on- which i think has become tradition and i accept it as we've all grown up to it for aid when we needed knowledge.

But ITV, Channel 4 and five are thrwoing out bloody stupid a ss gameshows that any eejot can get a right answer to and still people have not complained about it. What utter nonsense has broadcasting brought to night viewing- by that i don't mean porn. I mean regular clean entertainment that used to be on before the networks decided to scam the public with bs programming!

i dont think that the stuff on T.V in the U.K is that bad - try watching Sapnish T.V now that is rubbish.
To be honest if u dont like stuff on T.V join Blockbusters or go out more often.

I put my inability to watch TV today down to my age. I'd rather watch paint dry than watch a bunch of self obsessed no-marks argue on "Big Brother".

The stuff on the BBC is well worth the licence fee. It's the crap on ITV and Channel 4 you should complain about.
