does every teen in america has a boyfriend or a gf? are they allowed to do so by their parents?

hey im from malaysia, and only few of us have g/f or b/f. if we do hav them, we keep it very discreet and beyond knowledge of people especially our parents.... im talking bout in our school years between 12-17 years of age....

how bout in america?

umm.. in general there aren't 'social' rules about having bfs and gfs in america. typically, it's not a big deal for someone between 12 and 17 to have a significant other at all. of course there are exceptions, but for the most part, parents tend to just set guidelines but not prohibit dating.
like with me, i was allowed to have a bf whenever i wanted. i could go out on group dates from age 13+, but i couldnt go on exclusive dates (unless i was dropped off by a parent) with a guy till i was 16.
make any sense? lol. point is that dating here in america is usually not something that's kept very discrete. we don't see it as a bad thing or anything like that.

No, not all teens in America have g/f b/f your thinking Hollywood.
As a parent I do expect that my teens tell me where they are going, who they will be with, when they will be home etc. They no better then to lie to me because I will catch them and I have an Irish temper.
