Vision tends to deteriorate with age, so your chances increase as you get older...it's not necessarily hereditary, it's just the natural process of aging.

Not necessarily.
Both my Mom and Dad had glasses most of their lives, and two of my brothers (both are in there early 50's) do not wear glasses.
I wear glasses, but I think my computer use, and also reading small printed data at work all day caused my eyesight to weaken over time.

Not necessarily. But it is almost certainly true that at some time you will need them, as eyes change over time. The lens enlarges and hardens with age, so loses its ability to focus on nearby objects. In my case, I developed a bit of astigmatism, which spectacles correct.

(Almost everyone, by the time they are in their 30s-40s needs at least reading glasses).

If both of your parents needed glasses in their 20s, that doesn't mean that you will--I'm certain that you'd need to take grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, etc. into consideration too.
We don't inherit everything from just our parents--could be great-great grandpa Joe had marvelous vision.

You might need glasses, but you might not. Vision loss depends on a lot of things. Genetics plays a role, but a small one.
