Titanium vs steel knives. Which is better?

I'm looking into buying a dive knife, and I don't know which material holds a better edge, breaks more easily, which is a better tool, etc.

since it is a dive knife, go with the titanium for sure...thats what i use and ive had it for 6 years and is still in perfect condition. I had a steel one, but it only lated me 8 months.

Titanium is a type of steel. It keeps a better edge and stands up to adverse conditions better.
