This may sound ridiculous but I am geniunely concerned that my baby boy will have a small penis. His father is very small. When I was pregnant with my son I was hoping he wouldn't take after his daddy, but when he was born I saw him and he had close to nothing. As a mom I am concerned for his self esteem as well as what other's will think of him.

Hey it is OK, I know sometimes we tend to worry about these things. I would talk it over with a doctor, their or some deformities that cause the penis to be smaller and it can be corrected and needs to be done while they are really young, but a urologist would have to determine that for you, other wise it is OK, we all come in different sizes and shapes. I know guys like them big sometimes but really, I was on the other end of worry, my son has a syndrome and not only was it sideways when he was born, but way bigger than usual. He has grown into it some, but not as much as I would have hoped. His father has the same problem and beleive me there are times when I wish it was smaller lol. My friend had a child that had a really small one when he was born and he just now started getting a little bigger but the urologist said give him time it does not have to be huge to do its job.

I am sorry that this is bothering you though, I know how you feel when it comes to worrying whether or not your child will fit in. We mothers have a lot to think about.

I have 3 boys and have to admit this never crossed my mind as a concern - they now range in age from 17 - 33 and I'm assuming everything is working fine cause I don't hear any complaints from them (yet they still do ask advise at times).

I guess my question to you is.......you married your husband and he is small - its obvious that everything is working fine - you have a son of your own as proof of that. Are you not satisfied as a wife/partner? Even if your son did grow up to possibly be smaller in that area - his father is a prime example that it really doesn't matter what size you are - it all works right!!

I had the same fears when I was pregnant with my son. I didn't want him to go through the insecurity that I've seen some guys deal with because they were really small. My son was lucky though because he takes after his father and is bigger than most of the boys were on my side of the family.

i am expecting a boy and no hadn't thouoght of that but i could see how that could be a ligitimate concern. i mean even men who are big have penis complexes..... i guess you can only cross your fingers and hope he finds enough about himself to be secure with himself no matter how small (or maybe freakishly big) his penis may end up.

If you really get THAT concerned i have heard when boys masterbate a lot it gets bigger..... but thats hard for a mom to think about, or tell
