I was fighting in the armed forces for my country. I wore many different types of clothing/uniforms. I missed out on enjoying what the 80's were all about. So now my wife tells me all about it.

Oh great, I feel really old now. I was going to college for a good part of the 80s. I went out to a couple of different dance clubs and just different parties. It's hard to say what all I liked––loved the music (new wave/punk). At the time I loved the fashion, but now I don't know about some of it. I liked being able to just hang out with my friends. Don't remember not liking much of anythng. I really miss some of the friends I had.

I was in high school. I remember the Miami Vice jackets I had in those pastel colors...HAHA! The fashions were fun! I loved and still love the cheesy 80's pop music. I was a huge Go-Go's, Cyndi Lauper, and Madonna fan. In the late 80's I started college and I was happiest in a sweatshirt and jeans. I got my ear pierced in 1986. It was all the rage. I really don't miss the 80's. I was going through all the horrible relationships that most of us go through. I love my life now and a husband and father.

I had my daughter in 1984. I was wearing Levi straight leg jeans. I went partying at a club called Casablanca's. I hated Boy George. I miss being so young.

I was being potty-trained, learning to read, and watching Gumby and Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood while eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
I sure miss Gumby.
And watching Smurfs with my dad every Saturday.

What a bad decade, just like this one, I hope things get more like they were in the 90's.
