Steve Irwin was a wonderful husband and dedicated father, who like many, had a dangerous "job" that left his family devastated. I admire him, as his dedication to education children and people in general was amazing. My family and I watched his shows very regularly... my children learned alot about animals, and for that I am thankful. Steve Irwin didn't go after deadly animals without stressing the importance of just how deadly they are. There are other "crazy" animal guys out there that after watching their shows, I will not let my children view them as I do not want my kids to think chasing rattlesnakes and spiders are ok. Steve filled his entertaining shows with lots of lines like "one bite and I'm dead". Granted, that's a little blunt, but it was the honest truth and that's what children need, the truth, not some watered down version. My heart goes out to his family, and I hope the children never have to lose their mother in the cruel way they lost their father.

You know I hardly ever watched his show, but I did occasionally (when I was really bored or flipping through channels). But when he died I was so sad and shaken. I think it's because he was such a family man and had his family on the show. So, he like seemed more real...you know, more like a real person than a Hollywoodish celebrity (who change partners and spouses as often as their wardrobe) I've never felt really sad when a hollywood person died...just felt like "Oh well, no more movies from them." But with Steve Irwin I worried about Terri and Bindi and Bob and Steve's dad and I just felt like the world really lost somebody.

Steve Irwin was truly "ONE-OF-A-KIND".
He was Societies Man: a 'Man's Man', a 'Ladies Man', a 'Child's Man'.
He was an ENLIGHTENER, a MOTIVATOR, and a PASSIONATE EXAMPLE on how anyone and everyone should live their lives to the fullest.
Blessings to his wife, children, family and all who admired him.
Condolences to those who never knew or enjoyed The MAN: Steve Irwin.

He was a good man. And i feel so sorry for what happened to him. He was one of the bravest and kindest men i've ever known. I feel so bad for his family. He's in a better place now, though.
