Next year, in my sophomore year, I am planning on taking AP gov, AP bio, GT chem, GT english, Honors Spanish, and GT Precalculus...anyone know if these classes are going to kill me or not? Also: What high school classes do you personally recommend? And in what year would I take them? Thanks

i don't think you can take AP Gov until you're a senior...its only a semester class (you take it with AP econ)...you have to check with your counselor and what classes are available to you...in my high school, the only ap classes available to sophomores were world history, bio, and art history
in my sophomore year, my ap class was world history
in my junior year they were: u.s history, language&composition, calculus AB
and currently in my senior year: lit, calculus BC, econ, gov, and music theory
anyways...don't bog yourself down with two science classes...my friend did that in his junior and he barely passed both tests and classes.
as for the other classes...those are fine
take AP world in your sophomore year if you havent taken it already
and good job! you're going to take pre-cal!!!! yaaay!!! there are so few sophomores in the pre-cal class in my school!!!
(^_^ you're going to be in Calculus BC when you're a senior if you keep it up!!!!)
*just remember to pace yourself...take on whatever you feel capable of...don't take too many ap classes at one time because it really takes a lot of time and dedication....
(in other words be prepared to sleep 4 hours a night ^_^)

good luck!

Well, if you feel ready for college level work in all those classes then i say go for it but be prepared to not have a social life as you will be doing tons of homework. I can tell you that GT English will require a ton of research and writing and that AP Government is a writing intensive course as well.
Advance placement is a good thing but you could always wait til you are 16 and see if your school has an agreement with a community college or university to take classes there.

Good luck to you and remember it is a personal choice but academic suicide is a reality so be sure you want to submerge yourself into school this deep.

If you are comfortable, take the classes you feel like. Just be warned, when I was in high school, I pulled a year like yours. It nearly killed me with all the homework. Just be sure to take the AP tests at the end of the year!

That's quite a load. Make sure that you can balance your school load with whatever extra-curricular activities you have going on. And take the Advanced Placement Tests at the end.

well, you have to know YOUR strengths my young friend.

If you are good at languages and tend to be good at math, (less memorizing more thinking), I think these classes will be just fine.

What is AP?
