because they are stupid and immature with nothing better to do... or they really fancy you, and quite romantically just want to hear the sweet sound of your voice.

It's probably not a prank but an automated dialling service. A computer generates random numbers and tries them. If one connects and is answered quickly, you subsequently later receive a cold-call trying to sell you double-glazing or a kitchen. They are a pain in the rear!

The only time I have had prank calls is when there has been a man involved. Usually a man who is telling me he is single and he has a girlfriend... I'd be a bit wary if I were u!

do you have call back like 1471?....if so call the number and ask who it is....or is the number with held?...if so you can get onto the phone company and block with held calls....i did it...and i have never had prank calls ever since....
