My friend and I have a running argument about which is the proper pronunciation. I've always thought it was bee-bee.

many people mistake it for BAY-BAY pretty much because it sounds better.

(yes, it comes from french, but it's the same as spanish. Americans think it's bee-bee, and it's normal to think so because here the english i is pronounced ay in spanish. And in english the spanish e is pronounced as the spanish i.)
Yeah, it's complicated, but trust me, it's right.
