steve young, troy aikman......these guys suck. they were just "good" and they won championships. they were soooo overrated. dan marino, not only the best ever, but actually has records to prove it, and is so underrated solely because he doesnt have a ring. what does that matter? 1 player isnt what wins a championship in football. marino, the greatest ever, if you think otherwise, then you know nothing. favre is a baller too. what you think?

Marino ... and Jim Kelly, and Dan Fouts ... were all great .... despite not winning the SuperBowl.

Football is such a team game ... line play, quality of receivers, defense, running backs, special teams play, does your coaching staff have the best scheme (football is the most complicated game in terms of scheme, IMO) .... one great player, even at the marquee QB position, is not enough to single handedly win championships.

Aikman, Simms were very good, and played on great teams under undoubtedly fantastic head coaches.

I do disagree with you about Steve Young ... that stats prove he is one of the greatest ever.

I think you have to look at how well a QB plays when the stakes get big, and the Super Bowl is the biggest stakes there is. I dont think many people would argue that MAnning is better than Brady or that MArino wa sbetter than Young. But when you are deep in the postseason and the offense is faltering and it's up to the QB to get it it done, Manning hasnt done it, Marino didnt do it Coming into the laegue, Joe Montana was a joke. No one thought he would be good. All he ever did was come into a crappy team and win 4 super bowls by making everyone around him better by his presence and by coming up big when he had to. Baller! And I hate the niners too. Aikman: three rings. Baller. And I hate the 'boys. NOthing means more than rings (and right now Trent Dilfer has more than Marino and MAnning combined).

You are going to get so many different answers for this question. Your best bet is to watch a few games, and decide which team is playing well. As is made evident my my user name, I am a major Patriots fan! I'd ultimately suggest you watch their games because they are an amazingly good team. Also, you shouldn't pay attention to win-loss records. A team can still be rather good with some losses, and they might actually be better than teams with no losses yet. So keep that in mind and have fun entering the world of football! it's a great world....

In the NFL, it's all about the championship.

Tom Brady would only be considered a so-so quarterback if he hadn't won three rings.
