No, dear, it's the other way around: how SHORT. The whole idea of an annulment is that the marriage never happened. There was some fraud involved, generally. The other classic reason (a sort of fraud of assumption, if you will) is being sexually impotent. These days I suppose they just get a prescription . . .
Or "non-consummation." That is, you didn't actually have sex.

I think the question is "How long can you be married before it is too late to get an annulment?" An annulment dissolves a marriage, so you can get one from the first minute you are married, but different religions, states, countries and laws dictate time limits as to how long you can wait to get an annullment.
If this is for you, contact the person who married you - priest, judge, etc. and ask them. You can also ask the office that issues marriage licenses in your area. You probably will need a lawyer in most cases, but I think in CA for a non-religious marriage (i.e. not Catholic, Jewish, etc.) you can get the paperwork from the County and do it yourself. Same for divorces in some cases.
Check the wiki:
"Annulment is a legal procedure for declaring a marriage null and void. Annulment differs from divorce where the court ends an otherwise legal marriage on a specific date."

It depends on the state you live in, but I'm pretty sure an annullment is possible relatively soon after marriage - within 24 hours even.

if you have reason for an annulement there is no "waiting" period...same with divorce...but annulements require a specific reason since it erases and basically says you were never married, even in the eyes of the church

Just depends when and where your at and what are the regulations in your area. But if your in Vegas it's 20 minutes or less. SO look up the regulations and see what can be done.

It doesn't matter how long you've been married. But you do have to be divorced before filing for an anullment at least in the RC church.

Most states do not grant them anymore. Should you give it sometime? It's always rocky in the beginning! But if you are sure and know there's no fixing things you might as well not waiste time! Good luck to you!

It's not a matter of how long but more so a matter of whether you had sex or not.
If you've had sex, you can forget it, you'll just have to go the whole 9 yards of a divorce.
