how bout any court case or event where the right to bear arms is involoved?

Sorry no one seems to be directly answering your question. Try web sites www.SAF.org , which is the Second Amendment Foundation's site, and also try www.keepandbeararms.com. Both of these sites offer numerous links to news stories, research, and related info. This should be a great resource for material for you. Also try google for "United States vs. Emerson". This is a landmark case the Pro- gunners (like me) lost on one level, and won on others.
Interesting concept for the anti-gunners out there to think about......Brady campaign, Handgun Control, Teddy Kennedy, etc, have long maintained the 2nd amendment only gives the States the right to maintain militias, and does not guarantee an Individual's right to own or carry a weapon. How is this argument effected by the war in Iraq, since the Federal Government is fighting this war almost exclusively with so-called "State" militias (National Guard and Reserves)? If the Fed can force "state" militias into service, then it stands to reason that the right spelled out in the 2nd Amendment is an individual right, not a right for the state to maintanin it's own militia, since the militia would be by definition not a seperate state militia .

This is an oxymoron, there is no such thing as good examples of gun control.. Any infringement of the 2nd Amendment is an infringement on the rights of all Americans, and, once we give them the first one, the rest will eventually follow.

good gun control is being able to shoot a target from 200 yards, and then put the second shot through the same hole as the first shot.
