I have a 54 MBPS WIRELESS ROUTER (WGR614), and i do not have a modem. Now, i have another wireless router on another room that's working and brodcasting wireless internet. Can i use the Netgear (WGR614) router as a wireless adapter where i can connect to the internet wirelessly? (it's like backward!). thanks.

I own a WGR614, and what you are talking about is not possible. I think you want the access points to talk to each other in such a way that the wireless router in the other room shares its Internet connection with the WGR614. This is called a bridge.

The WGR614 is designed to talk with computers (or more specifically: wireless adapters), but not other wireless routers. You need something like this:

ok D link have whats known as a rang extender not sure if other brands do as well. setup the extender to synchronize with your router/ access point. or you could upgrade to a better wireless modem router like rangemax or similiar and put it in a central part of house. apparently they have a number of internal antennas to cover a wider range. or you could get better antenners for the router you have as long as it as an sma connector on it and use the shortest distance possile from router to antenna and use decent coax on the sma connectors. i think its rg59 but make sure its suitable for wireless antennas. you dont want much signal loss through your coax line. what i mean by better antenna is something with a higher gain the ones that come oout with the devices are only a 2db. hope this gives you some optoins but depends on money and how much setting up you wanna do

No. You need a wireless adapter. Routers and adapters perform different functions.

I use a netgear at home, I've never seen a setting to allow that.
