I usually always read other peoples answers but i don' t mark them thumbs up/down

I'm new to this, but I have been reading other people's answers to see if my answer hasn't already been forwarded by someone else.......no point in having two answers the same. I'm still looking into the thumbs up and down bit.

If i find the answer good/funny/interesting etc- i give it a thumbs up- i never give any answers a thumbs down, i just read and disagree in my mind or ignore it if i don't like it.

I always read the other answers. I give 'thumbs up' to answers I like, but I only give 'thumbs down' when an answer is disrespectful or rude.

I never read the answers until I have written mine and submitted it. I don't want to be influenced by other peoples replies.
Then I read through all the answers, and mark them.
I rarely mark a thumbs down.
The answer has got to be pretty malicious, for me to do that...

I often read the comments of others. I have given a few thumb downs to those who do not answer anything. They use a "," or a blanket answer directing someone to their website which offers no solution to the original question.

i do read others answers after i've answered the q myself....i rate, giving thumbs up only unless the answer just smacks of something obnoxious.
when i ask a q, everyone gets a thumbs up, it's how i keep track of the answers I read...

Occasionaly I read them, if it's an interesting question. I only rate them myself if they are particurally inane or clever. I usually check to see if my answers get a thumbs up or thumbs down as well.
