If the ice thing doesn't work, get a bottle of "Goo Gone" it works.

I read somewhere to place a piece of waxed paper over the gum and rub an ice cube over the paper until the gum gets very hard. Then you can pick the gum off the fabric in small pieces. I have not tried it myself but it sounds as though it may work without harming the fabric if the fabric is a strong weight.

We used to use Oops! Multi Purpose Remover to get chewing gum off carpets and fabric, when i worked at a hotel. It's very effective.

Use ice, it will freeze it and you can pull and pick it off

freeze it using ice it will come off easier then
