1.Steve Nash
2.Jason Kidd
I dont care about all of you who claim Kobe and Arenas and Lebron James and all those scorers,
Your teams not goin anywhere in this league without players like Nash and JKidd who make EVERYBODY around them better, Kidd is averaging almost a triple double and so is Nash if you wanna talk stats. Plus how many peoples careers have turned completely around by going to Pheonix to play with him, Bell, Barbossa, and many more.
So go ahead, you argue your guys because of their points, and Ill settle for my two time MVP who has a great chance of winning it all this year. I'll also setlle for Kidd who has more triple doubles than the rest of the league combined, and Is third on the all time list. How do all those points stack up now?

There are many good players. Most of the players do not play because they "love" the game. Most play for the money. Each player has their own style of playing and each team has a different need from a player. Every player has their shinning days and days where they just want to go home. Many of the famous names like Dwane Wade and Kobe Bryant...Lebron James...now-a-days Gilbert Arenas... and a lot more win the best player questions. But they can't win on their own. Some of the smaller players contribute a lot more just so the star players can shine.
I honestly think that Luke Walton may be the best player because he can shot, pass, and make great plays. He is not a ball hogger, and he knows when he needs to shoot and when he needs to dish the ball off.
Great players do little things.

Kobe Bryant is the best all around player in the NBA today. His defense is sound, he can pass, he is the best scorer in the league and he knows what it takes to win. His drive to win is unparralled. LeBron James has huge potential and will probably be the top guy when Kobe slows down in a few years, but right now, Kobe is too polished fundamentally for anyone to be able to match him as far as this discussion goes.
Simply looking at one aspect isn't the way to judge who is the best. You have to consider all of the factors, some which can't be measured by numbers, in order to find the best player. Kobe is at the top of the mountain, but James and Wade are well on their way to surpassing him.

It depends on what youre talking about--if youre asking whos playing the best basketball at this moment (like during the past month) then I would say Gilbert Arenas, but if youre asking who the best is overall then I would say Nash or Wade. And for everyone who still says that Lebron is the best player in the league...I wouldve agreed with you last season, but this season he hasnt done anything special, and he still needs to show that he can lead his team to the Finals like Wade did.

That's really hard to say. The NBA players of today don't play anymore because they love the game. They play for the money. The majority of them have forgotten where they came from. There are no "true" baskeball players anymore.

Right now, i personally think its LBJ. Hes still developing. He can Shoot the three, the mid range, take it all the way, get to the line, steal, block and most importantly, the most superstars lack is the passing ability. He is not even close to his prime. What makes him the best is because he is so humble. He does not care about his own stats on paper, but making his team a top contender for the Championships.
