Try rubbing alcohol.
Just put a couple drops of rubbing alcohol in your ear and keep your head tilted to the side for 30 seconds and put a piece of cotton in your ear .
I've used rubbing alcohol in my ears for years since I am prone to ear infections and it always clears them overnight.

If the doctor gave you an anti-bacterial medication for the infection, they continue working for a few days after you finish the prescription, so if you aren't in pain, just give it 5 - 6 more days. When I get water in my ear (like from showering or swimming) I put a couple of drops of alcohol in the ear. But, that doesn't sound like what you have going on here.

Your Doctor should have gave you anti-biotics for your ear infection. If you have finished the anti-biotics and still have the infection, I would advise you to go to the Doctor for further treatment. Letting an ear infection go will result in loss of hearing or other conditions with your inner ear.

If you are not in pain don't worry. I had fluid in the middle ear for almost 9 months before it finally cleared up. Check in with the doc again in acouple of weeks if it is still bothering you you should be tested for allergies.

There is a medicine called similasan or something of that sort, you can get it at CVS. It is in a white box with a red orange ear on the box. I use it for my daughter and it always works well.
