A) Because people just make stuff up and don't really tell their true opinion
B) Because the person taking the polls doesn't know if the people they have polled are the norm or some idiots in disguise
C) Because people change their minds so much. One day they could think one way and the next day another

They are not.

Sometimes tho, the polls are not done properly. The problem is people don't always give them appropriate doubt.
