It's good but not great. Daniel Craig is ok, and he's brutal, which is a good thing. The opening hour is breathtaking, the casino stuff is good, but the drifting around on a boat slows it down too much, and I couldn't get that excited about the collapsing house because my excitement level had dropped too much.
Stunning set of bond girls though, especially Eva Green.

I liked it - I wasn't too keen on Daniel Craig being selected to play James Bond but after seeing Casino Royale - I think he will be the 2nd best Bond - no one will ever be as good as Connery

I was enjoying, went to the last performance of the evening and was getting to the end with the fight scene in Venice when the film broke down and they could not fix it. Did get two set of complimentry tickets as compensation, but don't think I can sit through the whole film again, just to see the last five minutes.

liked it as a film in its own right. all the hype was on the fact it was a james bond film, with that in mind it was diiferent to the other bond films, he was more rough cut. good film though

I hate James Bond , But went along with my partner who is an avid fan, to see Casino Royale and hey!!!! i really enjoyed it was brill, not too many slimey one liners, and not to far fetched gadget wise. and Daniel Craig is great bond.

Yep. I thought it was brilliant. A good film in its own right.
Bond as I've read him in the books, as a charming but insufferable misogynistic git. Thankfully bereft of product placement (compared to the last few).

I quite enjoyed it, but the last hour dragged on a bit for me. "Ooh, Bond's got to win the money off the bad man...." Why the hell didn't he just shoot him?
It was all a bit, "Begin the unnecessarily slow dipping mechanism..."
