Use vaseline or cooking oil. Just smear some on, place the background on then use something to smooth it out, I used a credit card.

aquarium backgrounds should be static cling... they should stick on their own. if not, try spraying just water on the glass, then starting from the top down, or the center out, push the plastic to get the bubbles out. (this only works if it's plastic or at least waterproof. do'nt do if i'ts made of paper).

OUTSIDE the tank (not INSIDE) with tape on the corners - worked for me - now more than 2 years, and still holding!!!

We used tape one the ends to stick on the corners of tank so you couldn't see it

Yes, those backgrounds are supposed to be static cling. But, if it isn't staying, try the double sided scotch tape.

my mom had one that she taped to the back. you would put it on so that the picture faces inside the aquarium and just tape the edges. Hope i helped!

mine stays up with sticky putty in the 4 corners and it's worked for 5 years now... you can undo it easily during cleaning
