It just depends on how your baby seems to prefer it. Some babies like it warmed up, closer to the body temp they are used to drinking it at. Other may be happy with room temp. Some want you to "just take the chill off it" and some babies might like it cold.....especially in hot weather. Any of these ways is fine as long as you handle the milk properly.
NEVER microwave it. This can damage some of the good properties of the milk and create hot spots which could scald your child.
The best way to warm the milk is to either float the bottle/bag in hot water or run hot water over it.

It is recommended to warm the milk first as it is always warm when fed from the breast. Never in the microwave tho! Stand the bottle in or run it under warm water.
Also, when storing in the fridge, keep it in the coldest part and not in the door. This way the milk will be good for 24 hours.

You only really need to warm it to room temperature and can do that easily by running it under the hot water tap or standing it in a jug of warm water for a while.
I have always fed our daughter at room temperature as we often cannot find anywhere to heat up the milk if we are out and about and I know of babies who refuse to drink milk that is cold if they are used to warmed milk and this has caused problems if the family are on a day out.
Remember you can only keep Breast milk in the fridge for 24 hours and for a month frozen.

You dont have to warm it up, I gave my son the milk straight out of the fridge if I had to. But after a while the milk settles and the cream floats to the top and it is easier to mix it up if it is warm. Also, some babies only want to drink warm milk.
Heat it up in a bowl of warm water until warm, if you use the microwave be very careful not to overheat, and always give it a good stir at it can get heatspots whoich can scald your baby's mouth.

Congrats on the birth of your baby and breastfeeding!....Basically if the milk has been in fridge then just poor boiled water into a jug and pop the bottle in that for a mo and warm it up a little....cold food or milk from fridge will give baby a bad tummy.....dont microwave it...that destroys all the goodness that the baba needs.

I would warm it up.I breastfed for a while and then switched to bottles.
Even when I made the bottles in bundles and put them in the fridge I warmed them up, so I would have done the same if I was expressing.
Best to have just slightly above room temp.I was told Iwouldn't like a cold dinner lol

That depends on the baby. Many babies don't mind it cold. Others refuse to take it if it is not warmed. Never microwave breast milk though. It breaks down some components of it. Not to mention the risk of burning the baby because of hot spots. If your baby likes it warm you can sit it in warm water for a few minutes. Holding it under hot running water works quickly, too. www.lalecheleague.org is a great resource for breastfeeding answers and support..

i expressed milk instead of nursing so i look into it wiht my dr.
you cannot microwave it but you can just run it under hot water. the microwave will mess up the vitimans amd minerals. it easily heats under water too. you also have to shake it really well before you use it becouse unlike cows milk it is not hemonigized. the cream and milk will seperate. you also have to remember not to leave it sitting out for very long and it will only last for so long in the fridge or freezer. no you do not HAVE to warm any milk, even formula, it just depends on how your baby likes it.

Our doctor recommended, (for our 3 week old, beautiful baby girl) :), that we warm it. Just to room temp., by filling a large cup with hot tap water and letting the bottle warm for a few minutes. Never ever use the microwave or boiling water.
