1. You learn how to unconditionally love someone. Whether it's your spouse and/or your children.
2. It's the foundation for the "family institution" which is at the core of society. Having a mother and a father for a child is essential for their developmental process.
3. Financial, emotional, and physical security with your spouse which allows for complete commitment to one another.
4. If your spouse is the same age as you, you'll grow old together at the same time and hit those important milestones together and support each other. Whereas a single guy, going from gal to gal, and is attracted to the one type of girl in her young adult life and hardly anyone your age...you will find that when you start hitting your 40s - 50s your ideal partners aged 20-30s are not interested in you at all, you'll start being a "grandpa" to them.
5. You and your spouse will get to know each other very intimately.
Example: My husband pointed how I like to eat things that I can touch with my hands..like crab legs, shrimp, ribs...he knows I have a good time at a restaurant when I can "play" with my food. It's a quirk. So he picks places out that have food like that. I know for him, he loves it when before he wakes up I rub his tummy or his back. We've been so long with each other, that we can pick up on each other's moods and not guess what's going on anymore. I love being with him and he feels the same way about me. This level of intimacy makes EVERYTHING that we do more enjoyable.
Marriage is a lot of fun. There's nothing bad about it when you do it for the right reasons and when you're ready.
If you're not ready and you can't think of why spending the rest of your life with the woman you love is good...then don't do it.
Just remember that you are going to get old, and that your family won't be there all the time and your friends might have families of their own and be busy with them.
The girls you're attracted to now, will in your mind continue to be that same age, where you, will keep aging.
You should consider what good things there are about being single and why you can't do those same things when you're married.
If being with different women is your "thing," then prepare for a life time of dissapointments and regrets.

You love the person you are with, and they love you.
This is the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with.
You want to have a traditional family, i.e. get married, have kids; and you are sure this is the person you want to be with.
You are both ready and willing to fulfill each others needs and desires (not just sex by the way).
Because you want to.
Because you have realistic expectations about where your relationship will go.
Yeah, there's six, but that's just in case if you don't like one of the ones I listed. If you don't like more than one, ummmmm, I don't know what to say then.
Hope this helps... :)
